Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ كَانَ النَّاسُ يُصَلُّونَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهُمْ عَاقِدُو أُزْرِهِمْ مِنَ الصِّغَرِ عَلَى رِقَابِهِمْ فَقِيلَ لِلنِّسَاءِ لاَ تَرْفَعْنَ رُءُوسَكُنَّ حَتَّى يَسْتَوِيَ الرِّجَالُ جُلُوسًا.
English Translation
Hadrat Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that the people used to pray with the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) with their waist wrappers tied around their necks due to their small size. The women were told not to raise their heads until the men had sat up straight from prostration.
Urdu Translation
حضرت سہل بن سعد رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ لوگ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ نماز پڑھتے اور تہبند چھوٹے ہونے کی وجہ سے گردنوں پر باندھ لیتے۔ عورتوں سے کہا گیا کہ جب تک مرد سجدے سے سیدھے نہ بیٹھ جائیں اپنا سر نہ اٹھاؤ۔
