حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلاَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، قَالَ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ أَرِقَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ فَقَالَ " لَيْتَ رَجُلاً صَالِحًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِي يَحْرُسُنِي اللَّيْلَةَ ". إِذْ سَمِعْنَا صَوْتَ السِّلاَحِ قَالَ " مَنْ هَذَا ". قِيلَ سَعْدٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ جِئْتُ أَحْرُسُكَ. فَنَامَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَتَّى سَمِعْنَا غَطِيطَهُ. قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ قَالَ بِلاَلٌ أَلاَ لَيْتَ شِعْرِي هَلْ أَبِيتَنَّ لَيْلَةً بِوَادٍ وَحَوْلِي إِذْخِرٌ وَجَلِيلُ فَأَخْبَرْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم.
English Translation
Umm al-Mu'minin Hadrat Aisha (may Allah be well pleased with her) narrated that one night the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) could not sleep and said: 'Would that a righteous man from my companions would guard me tonight.' Suddenly we heard the clatter of arms. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) asked: 'Who is it?' It was said: 'Sa'd (bin Abi Waqqas), O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)! I have come to guard you.' Then the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) slept so soundly that we heard his snoring. And Umm al-Mu'minin Hadrat Aisha (may Allah be well pleased with her) said: Hadrat Bilal (may Allah be well pleased with him) said (when he came to Madinah and had fever): 'Would that I knew whether I will spend a night in a valley (of Makkah) with Idhkhir and Jalil grass around me.' Then I informed the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) about it.
Urdu Translation
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ ایک رات نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو نیند نہیں آئی تو آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: کاش! میرے صحابہ میں سے کوئی نیک آدمی آج رات میرا پہرہ دیتا۔ اتنے میں ہم نے ہتھیاروں کی آواز سنی۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے پوچھا: کون ہے؟ عرض کیا گیا: یا رسول اللہ! سعد (بن ابی وقاص) ہیں، آپ کا پہرہ دینے آئے ہیں۔ پھر نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سو گئے یہاں تک کہ ہم نے آپ کے خراٹوں کی آواز سنی۔ اور حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے فرمایا: حضرت بلال رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے (جب مدینہ آئے تو بخار میں) کہا: کاش! مجھے معلوم ہوتا کہ کیا میں کسی رات اس وادی (مکہ) میں رات گزاروں گا جہاں میرے چاروں طرف اذخر اور جلیل گھاس ہو۔ پھر میں نے اس بارے میں نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو بتایا۔
