حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ خَالِدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُجَاشِعٌ، قَالَ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِأَخِي بَعْدَ الْفَتْحِ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، جِئْتُكَ بِأَخِي لِتُبَايِعَهُ عَلَى الْهِجْرَةِ. قَالَ " ذَهَبَ أَهْلُ الْهِجْرَةِ بِمَا فِيهَا ". فَقُلْتُ عَلَى أَىِّ شَىْءٍ تُبَايِعُهُ قَالَ " أُبَايِعُهُ عَلَى الإِسْلاَمِ وَالإِيمَانِ وَالْجِهَادِ" فَلَقِيتُ أَبَا مَعْبَدٍ بَعْدُ وَكَانَ أَكْبَرَهُمَا فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَقَالَ صَدَقَ مُجَاشِعٌ
English Translation
Hadrat Mujashi (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that after the Conquest of Makkah, I brought my brother to the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and submitted, 'O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)! I have brought my brother so that you may take his pledge of allegiance for migration.' The Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declared, 'The people of migration have taken away the reward of migration.' I submitted, 'Then on what will you take his pledge?' He declared, 'I will take his pledge on Islam, faith, and jihad.' Afterwards I met Abu Ma'bad, who was the elder of the two. I asked him, and he said, 'Mujashi has spoken the truth.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت مجاشع رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ میں فتح مکہ کے بعد اپنے بھائی کو نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت میں لے کر حاضر ہوا اور عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! میں اپنے بھائی کو لایا ہوں تاکہ آپ ہجرت پر ان سے بیعت لیں۔ حضور صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: ہجرت والے ہجرت کا ثواب لے گئے۔ میں نے عرض کیا: پھر آپ کس چیز پر ان سے بیعت لیں گے؟ ارشاد فرمایا: میں اسلام، ایمان اور جہاد پر بیعت لوں گا۔ پھر میں ابو معبد سے ملا جو ان دونوں میں بڑے تھے۔ میں نے ان سے پوچھا تو انہوں نے فرمایا: مجاشع نے سچ کہا۔
