حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ أَقَمْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي سَفَرٍ تِسْعَ عَشْرَةَ نَقْصُرُ الصَّلاَةَ. وَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ وَنَحْنُ نَقْصُرُ مَا بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ تِسْعَ عَشْرَةَ، فَإِذَا زِدْنَا أَتْمَمْنَا.
English Translation
Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) states, 'We stayed with the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) during a journey for nineteen days, offering shortened prayers.' Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) would say: We shorten the prayer for up to nineteen days, and if the stay exceeds that, we offer the full prayer.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں: ہم نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ ایک سفر میں انیس دن قیام کیا اور نماز قصر پڑھتے رہے۔ حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے تھے: ہم انیس دن تک نماز قصر کرتے ہیں اور اس سے زیادہ ہو تو پوری پڑھتے ہیں۔
