حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهْوَ فِي قُبَّةٍ " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَنْشُدُكَ عَهْدَكَ وَوَعْدَكَ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ شِئْتَ لَمْ تُعْبَدْ بَعْدَ الْيَوْمِ ". فَأَخَذَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ بِيَدِهِ فَقَالَ حَسْبُكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، فَقَدْ أَلْحَحْتَ عَلَى رَبِّكَ، وَهْوَ فِي الدِّرْعِ، فَخَرَجَ وَهْوَ يَقُولُ {سَيُهْزَمُ الْجَمْعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ الدُّبُرَ * بَلِ السَّاعَةُ مَوْعِدُهُمْ وَالسَّاعَةُ أَدْهَى وَأَمَرُّ }. وَقَالَ وُهَيْبٌ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ.
English Translation
It is narrated by Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) who states: The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was in a tent, praying: "O Allah! I beseech You by Your covenant and Your promise. O Allah! If You will, You will not be worshipped after today (i.e., if the Muslims perish)." Hadrat Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be well pleased with him) took his hand and submitted: Enough, O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)! You have implored your Lord persistently. The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was wearing his armour. He came out reciting: {The assembly will be routed and they will turn their backs in flight. Nay, the Hour is their appointed time, and the Hour is most grievous and most bitter.} (Wuhayb said: This was on the day of Badr.)
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے، فرماتے ہیں: نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ایک خیمے میں تھے اور دعا فرما رہے تھے: "اے اللہ! میں تجھ سے تیرے عہد اور وعدے کا واسطہ دیتا ہوں۔ اے اللہ! اگر تو چاہے تو آج کے بعد تیری عبادت نہ ہو (یعنی اگر مسلمان ہلاک ہو گئے)۔" حضرت ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے آپ کا ہاتھ پکڑا اور عرض کیا: بس کیجیے یا رسول اللہ! آپ نے اپنے رب سے بہت الحاح کر لیا۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم زرہ پہنے ہوئے تھے، باہر تشریف لائے اور فرما رہے تھے: {عنقریب یہ جمع شکست کھائے گا اور پیٹھ پھیر کر بھاگے گا۔ بلکہ قیامت ان کے وعدے کا وقت ہے اور قیامت بہت سخت اور بہت تلخ ہے}۔ (وہیب نے کہا: یہ غزوۂ بدر کا واقعہ ہے۔)
