Narrated by Hadrat Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them both): When the people of Khaybar dislocated the hands and feet of Hadrat 'Abdullah bin 'Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them both), Hadrat 'Umar al-Faruq (may Allah be well pleased with him) stood to deliver a sermon and said: 'The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) had made a deal with the Jews of Khaybar regarding their properties and stated: We will keep you as long as Allah keeps you. 'Abdullah bin 'Umar went to his property there and was attacked at night; his hands and feet were dislocated. We have no enemy there other than them; they are our enemy and the object of our suspicion. I have decided to expel them.' When Hadrat 'Umar (may Allah be well pleased with him) resolved upon this, one of the Banu Abi al-Huqayq came to him and submitted: 'O Commander of the Faithful! Are you expelling us when Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) settled us here, made a deal with us regarding the properties, and stipulated this condition for us?' Hadrat 'Umar (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: 'Do you think I have forgotten the saying of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him): How will it be for you when you are expelled from Khaybar and your she-camel carries you fleeing, night after night?' He said: 'That was only a jest from Abu al-Qasim.' Hadrat 'Umar (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: 'You lie, O enemy of Allah!' So Hadrat 'Umar (may Allah be well pleased with him) expelled them and compensated them for their fruit with wealth, camels, and goods -- saddles, ropes, and the like. Hammad bin Salama also narrated it from 'Ubaydullah, probably from Nafi', from Hadrat Ibn 'Umar, from 'Umar, from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), in abridged form.

ہم سے ابو احمد نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے محمد بن یحییٰ ابو غسان کنانی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہمیں مالک نے خبر دی، نافع سے، حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے کہ جب اہلِ خیبر نے حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما کے ہاتھ پاؤں مروڑ دیے تو حضرت عمر فاروق رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ خطبے کے لیے کھڑے ہوئے اور فرمایا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے خیبر کے یہودیوں سے ان کے اموال پر معاملہ فرمایا تھا اور ارشاد فرمایا تھا: ہم تمہیں اس وقت تک رکھیں گے جب تک اللہ تعالیٰ تمہیں رکھے۔ اور حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر اپنے مال کی دیکھ بھال کے لیے وہاں گئے تو رات کو ان پر حملہ ہوا اور ان کے ہاتھ پاؤں مروڑ دیے گئے۔ وہاں ان (یہودیوں) کے سوا ہمارا کوئی دشمن نہیں، وہی ہمارے دشمن اور ہمارے شبہے کی جگہ ہیں۔ میرا ارادہ ہے کہ انہیں جلاوطن کر دوں۔ جب حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے یہ ارادہ پکا کر لیا تو بنو ابی الحقیق میں سے ایک شخص ان کے پاس آیا اور عرض کیا: اے امیر المؤمنین! کیا آپ ہمیں نکال رہے ہیں جبکہ محمد صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ہمیں ٹھہرایا تھا اور ہم سے اموال پر معاملہ کیا تھا اور ہمارے لیے یہ شرط رکھی تھی؟ حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے فرمایا: کیا تو یہ سمجھتا ہے کہ میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کا یہ ارشاد بھول گیا ہوں: تمہارا کیا حال ہوگا جب تمہیں خیبر سے نکالا جائے گا اور تمہاری اونٹنی تمہیں رات بہ رات لے کر بھاگے گی؟ اس نے کہا: یہ تو ابو القاسم کی طرف سے مذاق تھا۔ حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے فرمایا: تو جھوٹ بولتا ہے اے اللہ کے دشمن! پھر حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے انہیں جلاوطن کیا اور ان کے پھلوں کی قیمت انہیں مال، اونٹوں اور اسباب سے ادا فرمائی، جیسے کجاوے، رسیاں وغیرہ۔ اسے حماد بن سلمہ نے عبیداللہ سے، غالباً نافع سے، حضرت ابن عمر سے، حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے، نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے مختصراً روایت کیا ہے۔
