Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ إِذَا اغْتَسَلَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ بَدَأَ فَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ، ثُمَّ يَتَوَضَّأُ كَمَا يَتَوَضَّأُ لِلصَّلاَةِ، ثُمَّ يُدْخِلُ أَصَابِعَهُ فِي الْمَاءِ، فَيُخَلِّلُ بِهَا أُصُولَ شَعَرِهِ ثُمَّ يَصُبُّ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ ثَلاَثَ غُرَفٍ بِيَدَيْهِ، ثُمَّ يُفِيضُ الْمَاءَ عَلَى جِلْدِهِ كُلِّهِ.
English Translation
Umm al-Mu'minin Hadrat Aisha al-Siddiqa (may Allah be well pleased with her), the blessed wife of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), narrates that whenever the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) performed the bath of janaba (ritual impurity), he would first wash both his hands, then perform ablution as he would for prayer. Then he would dip his fingers in water and run them through the roots of his hair. Then he would pour three handfuls of water over his head with both hands, and then pour water over his entire body.
Urdu Translation
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا، نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی زوجۂ محترمہ، سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم جب غسلِ جنابت فرماتے تو پہلے اپنے دونوں ہاتھ دھوتے، پھر اسی طرح وضو فرماتے جیسے نماز کے لیے وضو کیا کرتے تھے۔ پھر اپنی انگلیاں پانی میں ڈالتے اور ان سے بالوں کی جڑوں کا خلال فرماتے۔ پھر اپنے دونوں ہاتھوں سے تین چلو سر پر ڈالتے، پھر تمام بدن پر پانی بہا لیتے۔
