حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ قَدِمَ أُنَاسٌ مِنْ عُكْلٍ أَوْ عُرَيْنَةَ، فَاجْتَوَوُا الْمَدِينَةَ، فَأَمَرَهُمُ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِلِقَاحٍ، وَأَنْ يَشْرَبُوا مِنْ أَبْوَالِهَا وَأَلْبَانِهَا، فَانْطَلَقُوا، فَلَمَّا صَحُّوا قَتَلُوا رَاعِيَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَاسْتَاقُوا النَّعَمَ، فَجَاءَ الْخَبَرُ فِي أَوَّلِ النَّهَارِ، فَبَعَثَ فِي آثَارِهِمْ، فَلَمَّا ارْتَفَعَ النَّهَارُ جِيءَ بِهِمْ، فَأَمَرَ فَقَطَعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ، وَسُمِرَتْ أَعْيُنُهُمْ، وَأُلْقُوا فِي الْحَرَّةِ يَسْتَسْقُونَ فَلاَ يُسْقَوْنَ. قَالَ أَبُو قِلاَبَةَ فَهَؤُلاَءِ سَرَقُوا وَقَتَلُوا وَكَفَرُوا بَعْدَ إِيمَانِهِمْ، وَحَارَبُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ.
English Translation
Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates: Some people from the tribes of Ukl or Urayna came to Madinah but its climate did not suit them. The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) ordered them to go to the milch camels (of charity) and drink their milk and urine (as medicine). They went, but when they recovered, they killed the shepherd of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and drove away the camels. News reached him in the early morning, so he sent men in their pursuit. They were captured and brought by midday. By his order, their hands and feet were cut off, their eyes were branded with heated iron rods, and they were cast onto the Harra (stony ground). They begged for water but were not given any. Abu Qilaba (upon him be mercy) commented: These people committed theft and murder, apostatized after faith, and waged war against Allah and His Messenger.
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں: عُکل یا عُرینہ (قبیلے) کے کچھ لوگ مدینے آئے مگر مدینے کی آب و ہوا انہیں راس نہ آئی۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے انہیں (صدقے کی) اونٹنیوں کے پاس جانے کا حکم دیا اور (فرمایا کہ) ان کا دودھ اور پیشاب پیو (بطور دوا)۔ وہ چلے گئے۔ جب صحت یاب ہو گئے تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے چرواہے کو قتل کر دیا اور جانوروں کو ہانک لے گئے۔ صبح سویرے خبر پہنچی تو آپ نے ان کے تعاقب میں (آدمی) بھیجے۔ دن چڑھتے ہی وہ پکڑ کر لائے گئے۔ آپ کے حکم سے ان کے ہاتھ پاؤں کاٹے گئے، آنکھوں میں گرم سلاخیں پھیری گئیں اور حرّہ (پتھریلی زمین) پر ڈال دیے گئے۔ وہ پانی مانگتے تھے مگر انہیں پانی نہیں دیا جاتا تھا۔ ابو قلابہ رحمۃ اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ فرماتے ہیں: ان لوگوں نے چوری کی، قتل کیا، ایمان کے بعد کفر کیا اور اللہ اور اس کے رسول سے جنگ کی۔
