Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " مَطْلُ الْغَنِيِّ ظُلْمٌ، فَإِذَا أُتْبِعَ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى مَلِيٍّ فَلْيَتْبَعْ ".
English Translation
Abdullah bin Yusuf narrated to us, he said Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy upon him) informed us, from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj, from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him), who said: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: Procrastination by a wealthy person in repaying a debt is an act of injustice. And if the debt of any one of you is transferred to a wealthy person (through hawalah), he should accept it.
Urdu Translation
ہم سے عبداللہ بن یوسف نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم کو امام مالک رحمۃ اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ نے خبر دی، انہیں ابوالزناد نے، انہیں اعرج نے اور انہیں حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے بیان فرمایا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: مالدار کی طرف سے قرض ادا کرنے میں ٹال مٹول کرنا ظلم ہے۔ اور جب تم میں سے کسی کا قرض کسی مالدار کے ذمے حوالہ کیا جائے تو وہ اسے قبول کرے۔
