Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ صَامَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَاشُورَاءَ، وَأَمَرَ بِصِيَامِهِ. فَلَمَّا فُرِضَ رَمَضَانُ تُرِكَ. وَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ لاَ يَصُومُهُ، إِلاَّ أَنْ يُوَافِقَ صَوْمَهُ.
English Translation
It is narrated by Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declared, "Fast during the month of Ramadan with sincerity of faith and hoping for reward, and stand in prayer during its nights, and perform the five obligatory prayers, and pay the Zakat of your wealth, you will enter Paradise."
Urdu Translation
ہم سے ابراہیم بن موسیٰ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو ہشام بن یوسف نے خبر دی، انہیں ابن جریج نے، ان سے عطاء نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے سنا، انہوں نے فرمایا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا ایمان و ثواب کی نیت سے رمضان کے روزے رکھو اور ( ان راتوں میں ) قیام کرو اور پانچ فرض نمازیں ادا کرو اور مال کی زکوٰۃ دو، تم بہشت میں داخل ہو جاؤ گے۔
