حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ قَالَ عَمْرٌو أَوَّلُ شَىْءٍ سَمِعْتُ عَطَاءً، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ يَقُولُ احْتَجَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ. ثُمَّ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِي طَاوُسٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَقُلْتُ لَعَلَّهُ سَمِعَهُ مِنْهُمَا.
English Translation
Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrates that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) had cupping done while he was in the state of Ihram. (Amr bin Dinar said:) The first thing I heard from Ata' bin Abi Rabah (upon him be mercy) was this very narration, that he had heard it from Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both). Then I heard him say that Tawus (upon him be mercy) had narrated this hadith to him from Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both). From this I concluded that perhaps Ata' had heard it from both of these scholars.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے احرام کی حالت میں پچھنا لگوایا۔ (عمرو بن دینار نے بیان کیا:) پہلی بات میں نے جو عطاء بن ابی رباح رحمۃ اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ سے سنی، وہ یہی تھی کہ انہوں نے حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے سنا تھا۔ پھر میں نے انہیں یہ کہتے سنا کہ طاؤس رحمۃ اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ نے مجھ سے حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے یہ حدیث بیان کی تھی۔ اس سے مجھے خیال ہوا کہ شاید عطاء نے ان دونوں بزرگوں سے یہ حدیث سنی ہو گی۔
