Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، وَحُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ أَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم تِسْعَةَ عَشَرَ يَقْصُرُ، فَنَحْنُ إِذَا سَافَرْنَا تِسْعَةَ عَشَرَ قَصَرْنَا، وَإِنْ زِدْنَا أَتْمَمْنَا.
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) who said: The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stayed (in Makkah during the Conquest) for nineteen days and shortened the prayers. So when we travel for nineteen days, we shorten the prayers, and if we stay longer, we offer the full prayers.
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم (فتح مکہ کے موقع پر) انیس دن ٹھہرے اور قصر نماز پڑھتے رہے۔ لہٰذا جب ہم انیس دن کا سفر کریں تو قصر کریں اور اگر اس سے زیادہ ہو جائے تو پوری نماز پڑھیں۔
