حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، وَابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لاَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي شَىْءٍ مِنْ دُعَائِهِ إِلاَّ فِي الاِسْتِسْقَاءِ، وَإِنَّهُ يَرْفَعُ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبْطَيْهِ.
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) did not raise his hands so high in any supplication except during the Istisqa prayer. In the Istisqa, he would raise them so high that the whiteness of his armpits became visible.
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم دعائے استسقاء کے سوا کسی اور دعا میں اتنے ہاتھ نہیں اٹھاتے تھے۔ استسقاء میں اتنا ہاتھ اٹھاتے کہ بغلوں کی سفیدی نظر آ جاتی۔
