حَدَّثَنا مُحَمَّد بن عبد الله حَدَّثَنا أبو السري حَدَّثَنا أبو السري سهل بن محمود قَالاَ حَدَّثَنا عبد الله بن إدريس عن أبيه عن جده عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إن أول الناس هلاكا فارس وعلى إثرهم العربوَهَذَا الحديثُ لاَ نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنِ ابْنِ إدريس عن أبيه عن جده عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ إلا سهيل بن محمود وكان ثقة بغداديا وإنما يعرف هذا الحديث من حديث داود الأودي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إن أول الناس هلاكا فارس وعلى إثرهم العربوَهَذَا الحديثُ لاَ نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنِ ابْنِ إدريس عن أبيه عن جده عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ إلا سهيل بن محمود وكان ثقة بغداديا وإنما يعرف هذا الحديث من حديث داود الأودي
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Abdullah narrated to us: Abu as-Sari Sahl ibn Mahmud narrated to us, they said: Abdullah ibn Idris narrated to us from his father from his grandfather from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the first people to perish are the Persians, and the Arabs will follow after them." This hadith is not known to have been narrated from Ibn Idris from his father from his grandfather from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) except by Sahl ibn Mahmud, who was a trustworthy Baghdadi. This hadith is known from the hadith of Dawud al-Awdi.
