حَدَّثَنا طاهر بن خالد بن نزار قال حدثني أبي قال حدثنا إبراهيم بن طهمان عن سماك يعني ابن حرب عن عَطَاء يعني ابن أبي رباح عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ سئل عن علم عنده فكتمه ألجم يوم القيامة بلجام من ناروهذا الحديثُ لاَ نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عن سماك بن حرب عن عَطَاء عن أبي هريرة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ إِلا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ وَلا نَعْلَمُ أَسْنَدَ سماك عن عَطَاء عن أبي هريرة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ إلا هذا الحديث وقد روى هذا الكلام عن عَطَاء عن أبي هريرة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قتادة ومالك بن دينار وعلي بن الحكم فأما حديث قتادة
English Translation
Tahir ibn Khalid ibn Nizar narrated to us, he stated: my father narrated to me, he stated: Ibrahim ibn Tahman narrated to us, from Simak — meaning Ibn Harb — from Ata' — meaning Ibn Abi Rabah — from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him), from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) who stated: «Whoever is asked about knowledge that he possesses and conceals it, he will be bridled on the Day of Resurrection with a bridle of fire.» This hadith — we do not know that anyone narrated it from Simak ibn Harb from Ata' from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) except Ibrahim ibn Tahman. We do not know that Simak attributed any hadith from Ata' from Abu Hurairah except this one. This statement has been narrated from Ata' from Abu Hurairah by Qatadah, Malik ibn Dinar, and Ali ibn al-Hakam. As for the hadith of Qatadah...
