حدثنا محمد بن المُثَنَّى بن عبيد حَدَّثَنا أبو أحمد حَدَّثَنا سفيان الثوري عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لما خلق الله الخلق كتب كتابا ثم جعله تحت العرش إن رحمتي تسبق غضبي
English Translation
Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna ibn Ubaid narrated to us, Abu Ahmad narrated to us, Sufyan al-Thawri narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Abu Salih, from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) who stated: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «When Allah created creation, He wrote in a Book, then placed it under the Throne: 'Verily, My mercy precedes My wrath.'»
