English Translation
Ahmad ibn Mansur narrated to us, he said: al-Hasan ibn Musa narrated to us from Zuhayr from Ubaydullah from Sa'id from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «People are like gold and silver mines. Those who were the best in the pre-Islamic era are the best in Islam, when they gain understanding. The souls are like recruited soldiers -- those that recognize each other become friendly, and those that do not recognize each other become hostile.»
