حَدَّثَنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى والجراح بن مخلد قالا حَدَّثنا إبراهيم بن سُلَيْمان الدباس قَال حَدَّثنا مُحَمد بن أَبَان عَن زَيد بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَن عَطاء بْنِ يسار عَن أبي هُرَيرة قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم من تزوج امرأة على صداق وهُو ينوي ألا يؤديه إليها فهو زان وَمَنْ أدان دينا وهُو ينوي ألا يؤديه إلى صاحبه أَحسَبُهُ قال فهو سارقوهذ الحديث لاَ نعلمُهُ يُرْوَى من حديث زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَن عَطاء بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَن أبي هُرَيرة إلاَّ من حديث مُحَمد بن أَبَان ومُحَمد بن أَبَان رجل من أهل الكوفة وهُو ابن أَبَان بن صالح لَمْ يَكُنْ بِالْحَافِظِ وَقَدْ حَدَّثَ عَنْهُ جَمَاعَةٌ من الأجلة منهم أَبُو الوليد وَأبُو داود وغيرهما عَلَيه وَسَلَّم من تزوج امرأة على صداق وهُو ينوي ألا يؤديه إليها فهو زان وَمَنْ أدان دينا وهُو ينوي ألا يؤديه إلى صاحبه أَحسَبُهُ قال فهو سارقوهذ الحديث لاَ نعلمُهُ يُرْوَى من حديث زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَن عَطاء بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَن أبي هُرَيرة إلاَّ من حديث مُحَمد بن أَبَان ومُحَمد بن أَبَان رجل من أهل الكوفة وهُو ابن أَبَان بن صالح لَمْ يَكُنْ بِالْحَافِظِ وَقَدْ حَدَّثَ عَنْهُ جَمَاعَةٌ من الأجلة منهم أَبُو الوليد وَأبُو داود وغيرهما
English Translation
Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna and al-Jarrah ibn Mukhlad narrated to us, they said: Ibrahim ibn Sulayman al-Dabbas narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Aban narrated to us from Zayd ibn Aslam from Ata' ibn Yasar from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «Whoever marries a woman upon a dowry intending not to pay it to her is a fornicator, and whoever takes on a debt intending not to repay it to its owner» -- I believe he said -- «is a thief.» This hadith -- we do not know it to be narrated from the hadith of Zayd ibn Aslam from Ata' ibn Yasar from Abu Hurairah except from the hadith of Muhammad ibn Aban. Muhammad ibn Aban is a man from the people of Kufa, the son of Aban ibn Salih; he was not a precise memorizer, but a group of eminent scholars narrated from him, including Abu al-Walid, Abu Dawud, and others.
