Abu Kamil narrated to us, he said: Abu Awanah narrated to us from Umar ibn Abi Salamah from his father from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) who stated: «If one of you were to strike with a sandal, that would be better for him than to marry a woman whom no one has proposed to.» We were informed that Abu Awanah said -- and we believe that Abu Kamil narrated it to us: Abu Awanah narrated to us from Umar ibn Abi Salamah from his father from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) forbade that a man should propose upon the proposal of his brother.
