حَدَّثنا عَمْرو قَال حَدَّثنا يحيى قَال حَدَّثنا ابن عَجْلان قال سَمِعْتُ أبي يحدث عَن أبي هُرَيرة قَالَ قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَقُولُوا لا إِلَهَ إلاَّ اللَّهُ فَإِذَا قَالُوهَا عَصَمُوا دماءهم وأموالهم إلاَّ بحقها وحسابهم على الله اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَقُولُوا لا إِلَهَ إلاَّ اللَّهُ فَإِذَا قَالُوهَا عَصَمُوا دماءهم وأموالهم إلاَّ بحقها وحسابهم على الله
English Translation
Amr narrated to us, saying: Yahya narrated to us, saying: Ibn Ajlan narrated to us, saying: I heard my father narrate from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "I have been commanded to fight the people until they say 'La ilaha illallah (There is no god but Allah).' When they say it, they have protected their blood and wealth from me, except by its right, and their reckoning is with Allah."
