حَدَّثنا أحمد بن ثابت الجحدري قَال حَدَّثنا ابن أبي عَدِيّ قَال حَدَّثنا شُعْبَةُ عَن العلاء بن عَبد الرحمن عَن أَبِيه عَن أَبِي هُرَيرة عَن النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم قَالَ الدُّنْيَا سِجْنُ الْمُؤْمِنِ وَجَنَّةُ الْكَافِرِوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لاَ نعلمُهُ يُرْوَى عَن أبي هُرَيرة إلاَّ من هذا الوجه بهذ الإسناد اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم قَالَ الدُّنْيَا سِجْنُ الْمُؤْمِنِ وَجَنَّةُ الْكَافِرِوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لاَ نعلمُهُ يُرْوَى عَن أبي هُرَيرة إلاَّ من هذا الوجه بهذ الإسناد
English Translation
Ahmad ibn Thabit al-Jahdari narrated to us, saying: Ibn Abi Adi narrated to us, saying: Shubah narrated to us from al-Ala ibn Abd al-Rahman from his father from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) who stated: "The world is a prison for the believer and a paradise for the disbeliever." This hadith is not known to us to be narrated from Abu Hurairah except through this route with this chain.
