حَدَّثنا أَبُو عَبد الله مُحَمد بن عتاب قراءة مني عليه قَال حَدَّثنا أَبُو أيوب سُلَيْمان بن خلف قَال حَدَّثنا أَبُو عَبد الله مُحَمد بن أحمد بن مفرج قال أَخْبَرنا مُحَمد بْنُ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ الرَّقِّيُّ قال حَدَّثنا أحمد بن عَمْرو قَال حَدَّثنا طليق بن مُحَمد الواسطي قَال حَدَّثنا يزيد بن هارون قال أَخْبَرنا مُحَمد بن إسحاق قَال حَدَّثنا موسى بن يسار عَن أبي هُرَيرة قَالَ قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم إذا استيقظ أحدكم فلا يضع يده في الغسل أو قال في الماء حتى يغسلها ثلاثًا فإنه لا يدري أين باتت يده اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم إذا استيقظ أحدكم فلا يضع يده في الغسل أو قال في الماء حتى يغسلها ثلاثًا فإنه لا يدري أين باتت يده
English Translation
Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Atab narrated to us through my reading to him, saying: Abu Ayyub Sulayman ibn Khalaf narrated to us, saying: Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Mufarrij narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ayyub ibn Habib al-Raqqi informed us, saying: Ahmad ibn Amr narrated to us, saying: Taliq ibn Muhammad al-Wasiti narrated to us, saying: Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ishaq informed us, saying: Musa ibn Yasar narrated to us from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "When one of you wakes up, let him not put his hand in the washing vessel" — or he said: "in the water" — "until he washes it three times, for he does not know where his hand has spent the night."
