حَدَّثنا الحسين بن مهدي قال أَخْبَرنا الفريابي مُحَمد بن يوسف قال حَدَّثنا سفيان بن عُيَينة عَن الزُّهْرِيّ عَن سَعِيد عَن النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم أَنَّه قَالَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ شَجَرَةٌ يَسِيرُ الرَّاكِبُ فِي ظلها مِئَة عام لا يقطعها اقرؤوا إن شئتم وظل ممدود وهذا الحديث لا نعلم أسنده عَن ابن عُيَينة إلاَّ الفريابي اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم أَنَّه قَالَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ شَجَرَةٌ يَسِيرُ الرَّاكِبُ فِي ظلها مِئَة عام لا يقطعها اقرؤوا إن شئتم وظل ممدود وهذا الحديث لا نعلم أسنده عَن ابن عُيَينة إلاَّ الفريابي
English Translation
Al-Husayn ibn Mahdi narrated to us, he said: al-Firyabi Muhammad ibn Yusuf informed us, he said: Sufyan ibn Uyaynah narrated to us, from az-Zuhri, from Sa'id, from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) who stated: «In Paradise there is a tree under whose shade a rider can travel for one hundred years without crossing it. Recite if you wish: 'And extended shade.'» This hadith is not known to us as being connected in chain from Ibn Uyaynah except by al-Firyabi.
