حَدَّثَنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَال حَدَّثنا عَبد الله بن سنان قَال حَدَّثنا ابن المبارك عن مَعْمَر عَن الزُّهْرِيّ عَن سَعِيد عَن أبي هُرَيرة قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم مثل المجاهد في سبيل الله والله أعلم بمن يجاهد في سبيله كمثل الصائم القائم الخاشع الراكع الساجد اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم مثل المجاهد في سبيل الله والله أعلم بمن يجاهد في سبيله كمثل الصائم القائم الخاشع الراكع الساجد
English Translation
Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, he said: Abdullah ibn Sinan narrated to us, he said: Ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, from Ma'mar, from az-Zuhri, from Sa'id, from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «The likeness of the one who strives in the path of Allah — and Allah knows best who truly strives in His path — is like the one who fasts, stands in prayer, is humble, bowing, and prostrating.»
