حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ قَالَ نا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ قَالَ نا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نُهِيتُ أَنْ أَقْرَأَ فِي الرُّكُوعِ وَالسُّجُودِ فَإِذَا رَكَعْتُمْ فَعَظِّمُوا اللَّهَ وَإِذَا سَجَدْتُمْ فَاجْتَهِدُوا فِي الدُّعَاءِ فَقَمِنٌ أَنْ يُسْتَجَابَ لَكُمْ وَلَا نَعْلَمُ يُرْوَى هَذَا الْكَلَامُ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ نُهِيتُ أَنْ أَقْرَأَ فِي الرُّكُوعِ وَالسُّجُودِ فَإِذَا رَكَعْتُمْ فَعَظِّمُوا اللَّهَ وَإِذَا سَجَدْتُمْ فَاجْتَهِدُوا فِي الدُّعَاءِ فَقَمِنٌ أَنْ يُسْتَجَابَ لَكُمْ وَلَا نَعْلَمُ يُرْوَى هَذَا الْكَلَامُ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ
English Translation
Hadrat Ali (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: "I have been forbidden from reciting (the Quran) while bowing and prostrating. So when you bow, glorify Allah, and when you prostrate, exert yourselves in supplication, for it is most likely that your supplications will be answered." This statement is not known to be narrated from Ali from the Prophet except through this chain.
