أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ {§إِنَّا فَتَحْنَا لَكَ فَتْحًا مُبِينًا} [الفتح 1] قَالَ الكبرى للنسائي ١١٤٣٤: عن
English Translation
Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «The Hour will not be established until knowledge departs.» It was asked: 'How will knowledge depart while we have the Qur'an and we teach it to our children and they teach it to their children?' He stated: «May your mother be bereaved of you! I used to consider you among the most knowledgeable of the people of Madinah. Are not these Jews and Christians present while they have the Torah and Gospel, yet they do not benefit from them at all?»
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: «قیامت قائم نہیں ہوگی یہاں تک کہ علم چلا جائے۔» پوچھا گیا: علم کیسے چلا جائے گا جبکہ ہمارے پاس قرآن ہے اور ہم اپنی اولاد کو سکھاتے ہیں اور وہ اپنی اولاد کو سکھاتے ہیں؟ آپ نے فرمایا: «تیری ماں تجھ سے محروم ہو! میں تو تجھے مدینہ کے لوگوں میں سب سے زیادہ علم والا سمجھتا تھا۔ کیا یہ یہود و نصاریٰ موجود نہیں جن کے پاس تورات و انجیل ہے، پھر بھی وہ ان سے کوئی فائدہ نہیں اٹھاتے؟»
