حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ نا أَبُو عَامِرٍ قَالَ نا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أُعْطِيتُ خَمْسًا لَمْ يُعْطَهُنَّ نَبِيٌّ قَبْلِي نُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ وَأُعْطِيتُ جَوَامِعَ الْكَلِمِ وَأُحِلَّتْ لِيَ الْغَنَائِمُ وَذَكَرَ خَصْلَتَيْنِ ذَهَبَتَا عَنِّي ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أُعْطِيتُ خَمْسًا لَمْ يُعْطَهُنَّ نَبِيٌّ قَبْلِي نُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ وَأُعْطِيتُ جَوَامِعَ الْكَلِمِ وَأُحِلَّتْ لِيَ الْغَنَائِمُ وَذَكَرَ خَصْلَتَيْنِ ذَهَبَتَا عَنِّي ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ
English Translation
Hadrat Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: "I have been given five things that no prophet before me was given: I was aided by awe (cast into the hearts of the enemy), I was given comprehensive speech (jawami' al-kalim), the spoils of war were made lawful for me" — and he mentioned two other qualities that I have forgotten. Then he continued with the hadith.
