حَدَّثنا محمد بن حرب الواسطي حَدَّثنا يزيد بن هارون أخبرنا مُبَارَكُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَن أَنَس بِنَحْوِهِ وَزَادَ فِيهِ وَأَهْدَتِ امْرَأَةٌ يَهُودِيَّةٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَاةً سَمِيطًا فَلَمَّا مَدَّ يَدَهُ لِيَأْكُلَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ عُضْوًا مِنْ أَعْضَائِهَا يُخْبِرُنِي أَنَّهَا مَسْمُومَةٌ فَامْتَنَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَامْتَنَعَ مَنْ مَعَهُ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى الْيَهُودِيَّةِ فَقَالَ مَا حَمَلَكِ عَلَى أَنْ أَفْسَدْتِهَا بَعْدَ أَنْ أَصْلَحْتِهَا قَالَتْ أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَعْلَمَ إِنْ كُنْتَ نَبِيًّا فَإِنَّكَ سَتَعْلَمُ ذَلِكَ وَإن كُنْتَ غَيْرَ نَبِيٍّ أَرَحْتُ النَّاسَ مِنْكَوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ إلاَّ يَزِيدُ عَنْ مُبَارَكٍ وَتَفَرَّدَ بِهِ أَنَسٌ
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Harb al-Wasiti narrated to us, Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, Mubarak ibn Fadalah informed us, from al-Hasan, from Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) with a similar narration, and he added to it: And a Jewish woman presented to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) a roasted sheep. When he extended his hand to eat, the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: «A limb from among its limbs informs me that it is poisoned.» So the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) refrained, and those with him refrained. He sent for the Jewish woman and said: «What made you corrupt it after you had prepared it?» She said: 'I wanted to know if you were a prophet, then you would know that. And if you were not a prophet, I would have relieved the people of you.' We do not know anyone who narrated this hadith except Yazid from Mubarak. Anas alone narrated it.
