حَدَّثنا نصر بن علي أخبرنا خالد بن يزيد حَدَّثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيُّ عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ عَن أَنَس أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا سِرْتُمْ فِي أَرْضٍ خِصْبَةٍ فَأَعْطُوا الدَّوَابَّ حَقَّهَا أَوْ حَظَّهَا وَإِذَا سِرْتُمْ فِي أَرْضٍ جَدْبَةٍ فَانْجُوا عَلَيْهِمْ وَعَلَيْكُمْ بَالدُّلْجَةِ فَإِنَّ الأَرْضَ تُطْوَى بِاللَّيْلِ وَإِذَا عَرَّسْتُمْ فَلا تُعَرِّسُوا عَلَى قَارِعَةِ الطَّرِيقِ فَإِنَّهَا مَأْوَى كُلِّ دَابَّةٍوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى بِهَذَا التَّمَامِ عَن أَنَس إلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ بَعْضَ كَلامِهِ الزُّهْرِيّ عَن أَنَس
English Translation
Nasr ibn 'Ali narrated to us: Khalid ibn Yazid informed us: Abu Ja'far al-Razi narrated to us from al-Rabi' from Anas that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «When you travel in fertile land, give the riding animals their due — or their share. When you travel in barren land, hasten upon them. And you should travel by night, for the earth is traversed at night. When you make camp, do not camp on the roadside, for it is the refuge of every creature.» This hadith, we do not know it to be narrated in this complete form from Anas except through this chain. Al-Zuhri narrated part of it from Anas.
