حَدَّثنا نصر بن علي أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو أحمد حَدَّثَنا سُفْيَانُ عَن عَبد اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَن ابْنِ عُمَر أَن رَسولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم لَمَّا مَرَّ بِالْحَجَرِ قَالَ لا تَدْخُلُوا مَسَاكِنَ هَؤُلاءِ الْقَوْمِ الْمُعَذَّبِينَ إلاَّ أَنْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ فَلا تَدْخُلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ فَيُصِيبْكُمْ مَا أصابهم
English Translation
Nasr ibn Ali narrated to us, Abu Ahmad informed us, Sufyan narrated to us from Abdullah ibn Dinar from Ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he passed by al-Hijr, said: "Do not enter the dwellings of these people who were punished unless you are weeping. If you cannot weep, then do not enter upon them, lest what befell them befall you."
