English Translation
Ahmad ibn Mansur al-Ramadi narrated to us saying: Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us saying: Ma'mar narrated to us from Hammam from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «Let the slave of the dinar perish, let the slave of the dirham perish, let the slave of fancy clothes perish! If he is given, he is pleased, and if he is not given, he is displeased. Let him perish and be turned upside down! And if a thorn pricks him, let it not be removed! Blessed is the slave who holds the reins of his horse in the way of Allah, with disheveled hair and dusty feet. If he is in the vanguard, he is in the vanguard, and if he is in the rearguard, he is in the rearguard. If he asks for permission (to enter), he is not given permission, and if he intercedes, his intercession is not accepted.»
