حَدَّثَنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ وَيَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ وأزهر بن جميل قالوا حَدَّثنا يَحْيَى بن سَعِيد حَدَّثنا مُحَمد بْنُ عَجْلان عَن نافعٍ عَن ابْنِ عُمَر عَن النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم أَنَّه كان يوتر على راحلته اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم أَنَّه كان يوتر على راحلته
English Translation
Ahmad ibn Abi Bakr al-Zanjaruddhi narrated to us saying: Muhammad ibn Salamah narrated to us saying: Muhammad ibn Ishaq narrated to us from Muhammad ibn Muslim ibn Shihab al-Zuhri from al-Ala ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Ya'qub from his father from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «When a person dies, people say: 'What did he leave behind?' And the angels say: 'What did he send forward?'»
