حَدَّثنا أحمد بن عَبدة قال أَخْبَرَنَا سُفيان عَن عَمْرو عَن سَعِيد بْنِ جُبَير عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِي اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم إِذَا نَزَلَ عَلَيْهِ الْقُرْآنُ يَقْرَؤُهُ لِيَحْفَظَهُ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى لا تُحَرِّكْ بِهِ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ به إن علينا جمعه وقرآنه وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ قَدْ رَواه غَيرُ وَاحِدٍ عَن ابْنِ عُيَيْنة عَنْ عَمْرو عَن سَعِيد مُرسَلاً
English Translation
Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Abu al-Khalil, from Abdullah ibn al-Harith, from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) combined Dhuhr and Asr, and Maghrib and Isha, in Madinah — not due to fear or rain.
