حَدَّثنا عَمْرو بن علي قَال حَدَّثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيد عَن الثَّورِيّ عَن مَنْصُورٍ عَن مُجاهد عَن طاوُوس عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِي اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله علي وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ لا هِجْرَةَ بَعْدَ الْيَوْمِ وَلَكِنْ جِهَادٌ وَنِيَّةٌ وَإِذَا اسْتُنْفِرْتُمْ فَانْفِرُواوَهَذَا الإِسْنَادُ بِهَذَا اللَّفْظِ لا نعلَمُ أحَدًا يَرْوِيهِ إلاَّ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ وَهَذَا الإِسْنَادُ أَحْسَنُ إِسْنَادٍ يُرْوَى فِي ذَلِكَ عَن ابنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله علي وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ لا هِجْرَةَ بَعْدَ الْيَوْمِ وَلَكِنْ جِهَادٌ وَنِيَّةٌ وَإِذَا اسْتُنْفِرْتُمْ فَانْفِرُواوَهَذَا الإِسْنَادُ بِهَذَا اللَّفْظِ لا نعلَمُ أحَدًا يَرْوِيهِ إلاَّ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ وَهَذَا الإِسْنَادُ أَحْسَنُ إِسْنَادٍ يُرْوَى فِي ذَلِكَ عَن ابنِ عَبَّاسٍ
English Translation
Abu Kamil narrated to us, he said: Abu Awanah narrated to us, from Abu Bishr, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent Abdullah ibn Rawahah with a detachment, and that happened to be on a Friday. His companions went out in the morning, and he said: 'I shall stay and pray with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) then catch up with them.' When he prayed with the Prophet, the Prophet saw him and said: «What prevented you from going out with your companions?» He said: 'I wanted to pray with you and then catch up with them.' He said: «Even if you spent all that is on earth, you would not have reached the merit of their early departure.»
