English Translation
Muhammad narrated to us, he said: Ubayd Allah narrated to us, from Sharik, from Layth, from Tawus, from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both), that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: «Allah has decreed the Hajj.» A man said: 'Every year, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: «Had I said yes, it would have become obligatory [every year].»
