حَدَّثنا أزهر بن جميل قَال حَدَّثنا عَبد الوَهَّاب قَال حَدَّثنا هِشَامٌ عَن عَطاء عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِي اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم بَعَثَهُ فِي الثِّقَلِ بِلَيْلٍ مِنْ جَمْعٍ مَعَ أَهْلِهِ اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم بَعَثَهُ فِي الثِّقَلِ بِلَيْلٍ مِنْ جَمْعٍ مَعَ أَهْلِهِ
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Uthman narrated to us, he said: Ubayd Allah narrated to us, from Isra'il, from Jabir, from Sha'bi, from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both): The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed eight rak'ahs and prayed the Witr with three rak'ahs, and he did not separate between them [with salam].
