حَدَّثنا العباس بن مُحَمد قَال حَدَّثنا عون بن عمارة قَال حَدَّثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانٍ عَنْ وَاصِلٍ عَنْ عَبد اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيدة عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِي اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ كُنَّا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم فَأَقْبَلَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ يَخْطِرُ فِي حُلَّةٍ لَهُ فَلَمَّا قَامَ عَلَى النَّبِيّ صَلَّى الله عَلَيه وَسَلَّم قال يابريدة هَذَا مِمَّنْ لا يُقِيمُ اللَّهُ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَزْنًاوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ عَبد اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيدة إلاَّ وَاصِلٌ هُوَ وَاصِلٌ مَوْلَى أَبِي عُيَيْنة رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ مَشْهُورٌ وَعَوْنُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ لَمْ يَكُنْ بِالْحَافِظِ وَلَمْ يُتَابَع عَلَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم فَأَقْبَلَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ يَخْطِرُ فِي حُلَّةٍ لَهُ فَلَمَّا قَامَ عَلَى النَّبِيّ صَلَّى الله عَلَيه وَسَلَّم قال يابريدة هَذَا مِمَّنْ لا يُقِيمُ اللَّهُ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَزْنًاوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ عَبد اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيدة إلاَّ وَاصِلٌ هُوَ وَاصِلٌ مَوْلَى أَبِي عُيَيْنة رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ مَشْهُورٌ وَعَوْنُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ لَمْ يَكُنْ بِالْحَافِظِ وَلَمْ يُتَابَع عَلَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ
English Translation
Al-Abbas ibn Muhammad narrated to us, he said: Awn ibn Umara narrated to us, he said: Hisham ibn Hassan narrated to us from Wasil from Abdullah ibn Burayda from his father (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: We were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) when a man from Quraysh came strutting in his fine garment. When he stood before the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), he said: "O Burayda, this is one for whom Allah will not establish any weight on the Day of Judgment." This hadith, we do not know anyone who narrated it from Abdullah ibn Burayda except Wasil, who is Wasil the freed slave of Abu Uyayna, a well-known man from the people of Basra. Awn ibn Umara was not a strong memorizer and was not corroborated in this hadith.
