حَدَّثنا مَعْمَر بْنُ سَهْل وَصَفْوَانُ بْنُ الْمُغَلِّسِ قَالاَ حَدَّثنَا عُبَيد الله بن موسى قَال حَدَّثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ عَنْ عَبد اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيدة عَن أَبيهِ رَضِي اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ تَفَرَّقَ النَّاسُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ فَلَمْ يَبْقَ مَعَهُ إلاَّ رَجُلٌ يُقَالُ لَهُ زَيْدٌ وهُو آخِذٌ بِعِنَانِ بَغْلَ��ِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم الشَّهْبَاءِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَيْحَكَ ادْعُ النَّاسَ فَنَادَى زَيْدٌ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ هَذَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم يَدْعُوكُمْ فلم يجيء أحد فقال ادع الأنصار فنادى يامعشر الأَنْصَارِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم يدعوكم فلم يجيء أَحَدٌ قَالَ وَيْحَكَ خُصَّ الأَوْسَ وَالْخَزْرَجَ فَقَالَ يامعشر الأَوْسِ وَالْخَزْرَجِ هَذَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم يدعوكم فلم يجيء أَحَدٌ قَالَ وَيْحَكَ خُصَّ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ فَإِنَّ لِي فِي أَعْنَاقِهِمْ بَيْعَةً قَالَ فَحَدَّثَنِي بُرَيدة أَنَّهُ أَقْبَلَ مِنْهُمْ أَلْفٌ قَدْ طَرَحُوا الْجُفُونَ حَتَّى أَتَوْا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم فَمَشَوْا قِدَمًا حَتَّى فَتَحَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ إلاَّ بُرَيدة ولاَ نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ عَبد اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيدة عَن أَبيهِ إلاَّ يُوسُفُ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ وَيُوسُفُ رَجُلٌ مَشْهُورٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ بِعِنَانِ بَغْلَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم الشَّهْبَاءِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَيْحَكَ ادْعُ النَّاسَ فَنَادَى زَيْدٌ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ هَذَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم يَدْعُوكُمْ فلم يجيء أحد فقال ادع الأنصار فنادى يامعشر الأَنْصَارِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم يدعوكم فلم يجيء أَحَدٌ قَالَ وَيْحَكَ خُصَّ الأَوْسَ وَالْخَزْرَجَ فَقَالَ يامعشر الأَوْسِ وَالْخَزْرَجِ هَذَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم يدعوكم فلم يجيء أَحَدٌ قَالَ وَيْحَكَ خُصَّ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ فَإِنَّ لِي فِي أَعْنَاقِهِمْ بَيْعَةً قَالَ فَحَدَّثَنِي بُرَيدة أَنَّهُ أَقْبَلَ مِنْهُمْ أَلْفٌ قَدْ طَرَحُوا الْجُفُونَ حَتَّى أَتَوْا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم فَمَشَوْا قِدَمًا حَتَّى فَتَحَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ إلاَّ بُرَيدة ولاَ نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ عَبد اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيدة عَن أَبيهِ إلاَّ يُوسُفُ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ وَيُوسُفُ رَجُلٌ مَشْهُورٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ
English Translation
Ma'mar ibn Sahl and Safwan ibn al-Mughallis narrated to us, they said: Ubaydullah ibn Musa narrated to us, he said: Yusuf ibn Suhayb narrated to us from Abdullah ibn Burayda from his father (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The people scattered from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on the day of Hunayn, and no one remained with him except a man called Zayd who was holding the reins of the grey mule of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Messenger of Allah said to him: "Woe to you, call the people." So Zayd called out: "O people, this is the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) calling you." But no one came. He said: "Call the Ansar." So he called: "O gathering of the Ansar, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is calling you." But no one came. He said: "Woe to you, specifically call the Aws and the Khazraj." So he called: "O gathering of the Aws and the Khazraj, this is the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) calling you." But no one came. He said: "Woe to you, specifically call the Muhajirun, for upon their necks is a pledge of allegiance to me." Burayda said that a thousand of them came, having cast aside their scabbards, until they reached the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and marched forward until Allah granted them victory. This hadith, we do not know anyone who narrated it except Burayda, and we do not know anyone who narrated it from Abdullah ibn Burayda from his father except Yusuf ibn Suhayb, who is a well-known man from the people of Kufa.
