English Translation
Amr ibn Ali narrated to us, he said: Abu Ahmad narrated to us, he said: Bashir ibn al-Muhajir narrated to us from Abdullah ibn Burayda from his father (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Learn Surah al-Baqarah and Surah Al Imran, for they will come on the Day of Judgment like two clouds, or two shades, or two flocks of birds in ranks, arguing on behalf of their companion. Learn Surah al-Baqarah, for taking it is a blessing, abandoning it is a loss, and the sorcerers cannot withstand it." This is the wording of Bashir or similar. The meaning of 'they will come on the Day of Judgment' is that their reward will come, just as it is narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he said: 'A morsel [of food given in charity] will come [on the Day of Judgment] the size of Mount Uhud,' and he said: 'The shade of a believer on that Day will be his charity.' All of this refers to its reward.
