حَدَّثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنَ الْمُثَنَّى قَال حَدَّثنا أَبُو معاوية قَال حَدَّثنا الأَعمَش عَن سَعْد بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ عَن ابْنِ بُرَيدة عَن أَبيهِ رَضِي اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ بَعَثَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم فِي سَرِيَّةٍ فَاسْتَعْمَلَ عَلَيْنَا عَلِيًّا رَضِي اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَلَمَّا جِئْنَا قَالَ كَيْفَ رَأَيْتُمْ صَاحِبَكُمْ قَالَ فَإِمَّا شَكَوْتُهُ وَإِمَّا شَكَاهُ غَيْرِي قَالَ فَرَفَعْتُ رَأْسِي وَكُنْتُ رَجُلا مِكْبَابًا فَإِذَا النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم قَدِ احْمَرَّ وَجْهُهُ وهُو يَقُولُ مَنْ كُنْتُ وَلِيَّهُ فَعَلِيٌّ وَلِيَّهُفَقُلْتُ لا أَسُوءُكَ فِيهِ أَبَدًا فِي سَرِيَّةٍ فَاسْتَعْمَلَ عَلَيْنَا عَلِيًّا رَضِي اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَلَمَّا جِئْنَا قَالَ كَيْفَ رَأَيْتُمْ صَاحِبَكُمْ قَالَ فَإِمَّا شَكَوْتُهُ وَإِمَّا شَكَاهُ غَيْرِي قَالَ فَرَفَعْتُ رَأْسِي وَكُنْتُ رَجُلا مِكْبَابًا فَإِذَا النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم قَدِ احْمَرَّ وَجْهُهُ وهُو يَقُولُ مَنْ كُنْتُ وَلِيَّهُ فَعَلِيٌّ وَلِيَّهُفَقُلْتُ لا أَسُوءُكَ فِيهِ أَبَدًا
English Translation
Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, he said: Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, he said: al-A'mash narrated to us from Sa'd ibn 'Ubaydah from Ibn Buraydah from his father (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) sent us on an expedition and appointed 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) as our commander. When we came, he said: How did you find your companion? He said: Either I complained about him or someone else complained about him. He said: So I raised my head - and I was a man who kept his head down - and suddenly the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)'s face had turned red and he was saying: «Whoever I am his guardian, 'Ali is his guardian.» So I said: I will never speak ill of him ever again.
Urdu Translation
احمد بن منصور نے ہمیں حدیث بیان کی، انہوں نے کہا: عبد الرزاق نے ہمیں حدیث بیان کی، انہوں نے کہا: معمر نے ہمیں حدیث بیان کی زہری سے، انہوں نے عروہ سے، انہوں نے حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم عصر کی نماز پڑھتے جبکہ سورج میرے حجرے میں چمک رہا ہوتا قبل اس کے کہ وہ بلند ہو۔
