حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ نَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَىَ بْنَ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ مَاتَ رَجُلٌ وَرَجَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ خَيْبَرَ فَأْذِنُوا بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ صَلُّوا عَلَى صَاحِبِكُمْ فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ غَلَّ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَتَغَيَّرَ لِذَلِكَ لَوْنُهُ فَفَتَّشُوا مَتَاعَهُ فَإِذَا فِيهِ خَرَزٌ مِنْ خَرَزِ الْيَهُودِ لَا يُسَاوِي دِرْهَمَيْنِ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ قَالَ نَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِنَحْوِهِ مِنْ خَيْبَرَ فَأْذِنُوا بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ صَلُّوا عَلَى صَاحِبِكُمْ فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ غَلَّ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَتَغَيَّرَ لِذَلِكَ لَوْنُهُ فَفَتَّشُوا مَتَاعَهُ فَإِذَا فِيهِ خَرَزٌ مِنْ خَرَزِ الْيَهُودِ لَا يُسَاوِي دِرْهَمَيْنِ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ قَالَ نَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِنَحْوِهِ
English Translation
Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, he said: 'Abd al-Wahhab narrated to us, he said: I heard Yahya ibn Sa'id, from Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Habban, from Abu 'Amrah al-Ansari, from Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani, may Allah be well pleased with him, who said: A man died when the Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace of Allah be upon him, returned from Khaybar. They informed the Prophet, blessings and peace of Allah be upon him, about him, and he said: "Pray over your companion, for he had stolen from the war spoils in the cause of Allah." The people's faces changed at that. They searched his belongings and found in them beads from the beads of the Jews that were not worth even two dirhams. Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Malik also narrated to us, he said: Hammad narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Sa'id, from Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Habban, from a man, from Zayd ibn Khalid, from the Prophet, blessings and peace of Allah be upon him, with a similar narration.
