حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ قَالَ نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالَ نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَالِمٍ قَالَ نَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَفْطَسُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ بُوهِيَ بِالْخَيْلِ وَأُلْقِيَ السِّلَاحُ وَزَعَمُوا أَنْ لَا قِتَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَذَبُوا الْآنَ حَانَ الْقِتَالُ لَا تَزَالُ مِنْ أُمَّتِي أُمَّةٌ قَائِمَةٌ عَلَى الْحَقِّ ظَاهِرَةٌ وَقَالَ وَهُوَ مُوَلِّي ظَهْرِهِ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ إِنِّي أَجِدُ نَفَسَ الرَّحْمَنِ مِنْ هَا هُنَا وَلَقَدْ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ أَنِّي كَفُوفٌ غَيْرُ مُلَبَّثٍ وَل��يَتْبَعْنِي أَفْنَادًا وَالْخَيْلُ مَعْقُودٌ فِي نَوَاصِيهَا الْخَيْرُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَأَهْلُهَا مُعَانُونَ عَلَيْهَا وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا يَرْوِيهِ بِهَذِهِ الْأَلْفَاظِ إِلَّا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ نُفَيْلٍ وَهَذَا أَحْسَنُ طَرِيقًا يُرْوَى فِي ذَلِكَ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالٌ مَعْرُوفُونَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الشَّامِ مَشْهُورُونَ إِلَّا إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنَ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَفْطَسَ اللَّهِ بُوهِيَ بِالْخَيْلِ وَأُلْقِيَ السِّلَاحُ وَزَعَمُوا أَنْ لَا قِتَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَذَبُوا الْآنَ حَانَ الْقِتَالُ لَا تَزَالُ مِنْ أُمَّتِي أُمَّةٌ قَائِمَةٌ عَلَى الْحَقِّ ظَاهِرَةٌ وَقَالَ وَهُوَ مُوَلِّي ظَهْرِهِ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ إِنِّي أَجِدُ نَفَسَ الرَّحْمَنِ مِنْ هَا هُنَا وَلَقَدْ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ أَنِّي كَفُوفٌ غَيْرُ مُلَبَّثٍ وَلْيَتْبَعْنِي أَفْنَادًا وَالْخَيْلُ مَعْقُودٌ فِي نَوَاصِيهَا الْخَيْرُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَأَهْلُهَا مُعَانُونَ عَلَيْهَا وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا يَرْوِيهِ بِهَذِهِ الْأَلْفَاظِ إِلَّا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ نُفَيْلٍ وَهَذَا أَحْسَنُ طَرِيقًا يُرْوَى فِي ذَلِكَ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالٌ مَعْرُوفُونَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الشَّامِ مَشْهُورُونَ إِلَّا إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنَ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَفْطَسَ
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Miskin narrated to us, he said: Abdullah ibn Yusuf narrated to us, he said: Abdullah ibn Salim narrated to us, he said: Ibrahim ibn Sulayman al-Aftas narrated to us, he said: al-Walid ibn Abd al-Rahman narrated to me, from Jubayr ibn Nufayr, from Salamah ibn Nufayl, may Allah be well pleased with him, who said: A man said: "O Messenger of Allah, horses have been neglected and weapons have been laid down, and people claim there is no more fighting." The Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace of Allah be upon him, said: "They have lied! Now is the time of fighting. There will always remain a group from my nation standing upon the truth, prevailing." He said - while his back was turned toward Yemen: "I find the breath of the Most Merciful from this direction. And it has been revealed to me that I will be taken away shortly and not remain long, and you shall follow me in groups. Goodness is tied to the forelocks of horses until the Day of Resurrection, and their owners will be aided through them." This hadith - we do not know anyone who narrates it with these wordings except Salamah ibn Nufayl. This is the best route narrated regarding this from Salamah. Its narrators are well-known men from the people of Syria, well-recognized, except Ibrahim ibn Sulayman al-Aftas.
