حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ كَرَامَةَ قَالَ نا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ نا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ عُثْمَانَ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُجَامِعُ وَلَا يُنْزِلُ فَقَالَ لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا الْوُضُوءُ قَالَ عُثْمَانُ أَشْهَدُ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ ذَلِكَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ عُثْمَانَ إِلَّا بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى فَاجْتَزَأْنَا بِشَيْبَانَ عَنْ يَحْيَى اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ عُثْمَانَ إِلَّا بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى فَاجْتَزَأْنَا بِشَيْبَانَ عَنْ يَحْيَى
English Translation
Salamah ibn Shabib narrated to us saying: Abd ar-Razzaq narrated to us from Ma'mar from Hammam ibn Munabbih who said: This is what Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated to us from the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) - and he mentioned hadiths, among them: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: 'The upper hand is better than the lower hand, and begin with those who are your dependents. The best charity is that given out of wealth, and whoever seeks to be independent Allah will make him independent, and whoever seeks to be content Allah will make him content.'
