English Translation
Ahmad ibn Mansur narrated to us, he said: Abu al-Walid narrated to us, he said: Mubarak ibn Fadalah narrated to us, from al-Hasan, who said: Abu Bakrah narrated to me, may Allah be well pleased with him, saying: The Prophet, blessings and peace of Allah be upon him, used to lead us in prayer, and al-Hasan ibn Ali would come while he was small. Every time the Prophet, blessings and peace of Allah be upon him, prostrated, he [al-Hasan] would jump on his neck and back. The Prophet would raise his head gently until he set him down. They said: "O Messenger of Allah, you do something with this child that we have not seen you do before." He said: "He is my sweet basil from this world. Indeed, this son of mine is a master; perhaps Allah will reconcile through him two great factions of the Muslims." This hadith has been narrated from Abu Sa'id and from Abu Bakrah. Mubarak ibn Fadalah - there is nothing wrong with his hadith; many people of knowledge have narrated from him.
