حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَا نا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ قَالَ أنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ عَنْ قَيْسٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّهُ أَتَى أَبَا جَهْلٍ وَبِهِ رَمَقٌ فَقَالَ أَخْزَاكَ اللَّهُ فَقَالَ هَلْ أَعْمَدُ مِنْ رَجُلٍ قَتَلْتُمُوهُ فَقَالَ هَلْ أَعْمَدُ مِنْ رَجُلٍ قَتَلْتُمُوهُ
English Translation
Ibrahim ibn Sa'id and Abdullah ibn Sa'id narrated to us, they both stated: Abu Usamah narrated to us, he stated: Isma'il narrated to us from Qays from Hadrat Abdullah (may Allah be well pleased with him) that he came to Abu Jahl when there was still a flicker of life in him, and he stated: «May Allah disgrace you!» He stated: «Is there anyone more purposeful than a man you have killed?»
