حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ نا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي زَكَرِيَّا قَالَ نا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ زِرٍّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ لَقَدْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُثْنِي عَلَى النَّخَعِ حَتَّى تَمَنَّيْتُ أَنْ يَكُونَ قَوْمِي مِنَ النَّخَعِ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى بِهَذَا اللَّفْظِ إِلَّا عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُثْنِي عَلَى النَّخَعِ حَتَّى تَمَنَّيْتُ أَنْ يَكُونَ قَوْمِي مِنَ النَّخَعِ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى بِهَذَا اللَّفْظِ إِلَّا عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ
English Translation
Ishaq ibn Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us, he said: Yahya ibn Abi Zakariyya narrated to us, he said: Zakariyya ibn Abdullah ibn Yazid al-Asbahani narrated to us, from his father, from Zirr, from Abdullah, who said: Indeed, I heard the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) praising the Nakha' tribe until I wished that my people were from the Nakha'. This hadith — we do not know it to be narrated with this wording except from Abdullah with this chain of transmission.
