حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَانِي قَالَ نا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ قَالَ نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ قَالَ نا أَبُو زَائِدَةَ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَائِدَةَ عَنْ بِلَالٍ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهِ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُوذِنُهُ لِصَلَاةِ الْغَدَاةِ فَشَغَلَتْ عَائِشَةُ بِلَالًا حَتَّى فَضَحَهُ الصُّبْحُ فَأَصْبَحَ جِدًّا فَقَامَ بِلَالٌ فَأَذَّنَ وَأَذِنَهُ بِالصَّلَاةِ تَابَعَ أَذَانَهُ فَلَمْ يَخْرُجْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمَّا خَرَجَ يُصَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ شَغَلَتْهُ لِأَمْرٍ سَأَلَتْهُ عَنْهُ حَتَّى أَصْبَحَ جِدًّا وَأَنَّهُ أَبْطَأَ بِالْخُرُوجِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي رَكَعْتُ رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّكَ قَدْ أَصْبَحْتَ فَقَالَ لَوْ أَصْبَحْتُ ثُمَّ أَصْبَحْتُ لَرَكَعْتُهُمَا وَأَحْسَنْتُهُمَا وَأَجْمَلْتُهُمَا يُوذِنُهُ لِصَلَاةِ الْغَدَاةِ فَشَغَلَتْ عَائِشَةُ بِلَالًا حَتَّى فَضَحَهُ الصُّبْحُ فَأَصْبَحَ جِدًّا فَقَامَ بِلَالٌ فَأَذَّنَ وَأَذِنَهُ بِالصَّلَاةِ تَابَعَ أَذَانَهُ فَلَمْ يَخْرُجْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمَّا خَرَجَ يُصَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ شَغَلَتْهُ لِأَمْرٍ سَأَلَتْهُ عَنْهُ حَتَّى أَصْبَحَ جِدًّا وَأَنَّهُ أَبْطَأَ بِالْخُرُوجِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي رَكَعْتُ رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّكَ قَدْ أَصْبَحْتَ فَقَالَ لَوْ أَصْبَحْتُ ثُمَّ أَصْبَحْتُ لَرَكَعْتُهُمَا وَأَحْسَنْتُهُمَا وَأَجْمَلْتُهُمَا
English Translation
Narrated Bilal through Abu Za'idah Ubaydullah ibn Za'idah: He came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to inform him of the Fajr prayer, but Aishah kept Bilal busy until the dawn broke clearly. So Bilal stood and gave the call to prayer and followed it with the iqamah, but the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not come out. When he came out to pray with the people, Bilal informed him that Aishah had kept him busy with a matter she asked about until the dawn had clearly broken and that he was late coming out. He said: "I was praying the two rak'ahs of Fajr (Sunnah prayer)." Bilal said: "O Messenger of Allah, the dawn has already broken." He said: "Even if it had broken and broken again, I would still pray them and perfect them and beautify them."
