أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ أنبأ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ أَبِي تَمِيمَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنَّ أُمِّي امْرَأَةٌ كَبِيرَةٌ لَا نَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ نُرْكِبَهَا عَلَى الْبَعِيرِ لَا تَسْتَمْسِكُ وَإِنْ رَبَطْتُهَا خِفْتُ أَنْ تَمُوتَ أَفَأَحُجُّ عَنْهَا قَالَ نَعَمْ رِوَايَاتُ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ تَكُونُ مُرْسَلَةً وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ أَبِي جَمِيلَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَرِوَايَةُ أَيُّوبَ أَصَحُّ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ
English Translation
Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that a man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: 'My mother is an elderly woman whom we cannot place on a camel; she cannot hold herself and if we tied her, I fear she would die. Shall I perform Hajj on her behalf?' He said: 'Yes.' The narrations of Ibn Sirin from Ibn Abbas are considered mursal (disconnected). It has been narrated from Awf ibn Abi Jamilah from Ibn Sirin from Abu Hurayrah, but Ayyub's narration is more authentic. And Allah knows best.
