أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو نَصْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْفَامِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ الطَّائِيُّ ثنا ابْنُ الْمُصَفَّى ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ الْمُخْتَارِ بْنِ فُلْفُلٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ بَاكِرُوا بِالصَّدَقَةِ؛ فَإِنَّ الْبَلَاءَ لَا يَتَخَطَّى الصَّدَقَةَ مَوْقُوفٌ وَكَانَ فِي كِتَابِ شَيْخِنَا أَبِي نَصْرٍ الْفَامِيِّ مَرْفُوعًا وَهُوَ وَهْمٌ وَرُوِيَ عَنْ أَبِي يُوسُفَ الْقَاضِي عَنِ الْمُخْتَارِ بْنِ فُلْفُلٍ مَرْفُوعًا
English Translation
Anas said: 'Hasten to give charity, for calamity does not overtake charity.' This is reported as a statement of Anas (mawquf), though in the manuscript of our shaykh Abu Nasr al-Fami it was reported as marfu' (attributed to the Prophet), which is an error. It was also reported from Abu Yusuf the judge from al-Mukhtar ibn Fulful as marfu'.
