قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ النَّضْرِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ سِيرِينَ يَقُولُ كَانُوا لَا يَرْصُدُونَ الثِّمَارَ فِي الدَّيْنِ قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ سِيرِينَ وَيَنْبَغِي لِلْعَيْنِ أَنْ تَرْصُدَ فِي الدَّيْنِ قَالَ الشَّيْخُ هَذَا هُوَ مَذْهَبُ الشَّافِعِيِّ فِي الْقَدِيمِ فَرَّقَ فِي ذَلِكَ بَيْنَ الْأَمْوَالِ الظَّاهِرَةِ وَالْأَمْوَالِ الْبَاطِنَةِ الشَّيْخُ هَذَا هُوَ مَذْهَبُ الشَّافِعِيِّ فِي الْقَدِيمِ فَرَّقَ فِي ذَلِكَ بَيْنَ الْأَمْوَالِ الظَّاهِرَةِ وَالْأَمْوَالِ الْبَاطِنَةِ
English Translation
And Ibn al-Mubarak narrated from Talhah ibn al-Nadr who said: I heard Ibn Sirin saying: 'They did not deduct fruits for debt.' Ibn Sirin said: 'And gold should be deducted for debt.' The Shaykh said: This is the position of al-Shafi'i in the old book, where he distinguished between apparent wealth and hidden wealth.
